The first year was so much fun, we're doing it again! So, all 'dam' good things do not really come to an end!

For 14 miles, you will experience one of this area's hidden trail running treasures. From the starting line, on the edge of the Genesse river gorge, you'll enjoy your first of several scenic overlooks. Take it in before you take off! The course quickly becomes a winding, single track through open woods and sloping hills. The landscapes are ever changing; from heavily wooded evergreens to rocky stream crossings. This introduces the runners chance for quick and sudden footing changes. Keep your head down and stay light on your feet! At the halfway mark, each runner will take a short loop on Letchworth State Park trail #16 and head back to the Dam and Recreation Center for the finish. Between mile eight and nine, you'll be challenged by the course's largest hill.

In addition to keeping this a unique racing experience, we take steps to making our race "green". We are bringing the reusable goodie bag back again! We also invite you to Carry Your Own 'Dam' Water. It is a time handicap to encourage trash reduction on the trails. Details here.

Disclaimer: We can not be held responsible for what Mother Nature delivers in August. It could be 'dam' hot and 'dam' humid.
